Crete Carrier Corp. appointed Tim Aschoff president, adding to his role of chief operating officer. The move was effective May 23.
Former President Tonn Ostergard will continue as CEO and chairman.
“Tim celebrated 15 years with Crete Carrier on April 3, and over that time, he has demonstrated the ability to lead the organization through his excellent communication skills and implementation of process that provide a clear expectation of goals and results. I know that Tim will hold fast to our resolve that on the road to success, “There are no shortcuts,”, Ostergard said.
Aschoff said in a statement that he’s honored to become president for such an “exceptional organization” and a great team of over 6,000 “Crete family members.”
The company also announced the hiring of Erick Kutter as president of its Shaffer Trucking arm. Kutter, formerly president of Knight Refrigerated, has 20 years of experience in the industry.
“We are excited to have someone with Erick’s depth of experience join our team,” Ostergard said. “My goal is to have Shaffer be one of the largest, and certainly the best, temperature-controlled carriers in the industry.”
