Some truck sellers are encouraging buyers to make their purchases early because 2007 trucks will cost more, said Stuart Hollingshead, outgoing chairman of American Truck Dealers.

"After three miserable years, the truck business is looking a lot better," Hollingshead said.

Hollingshead, president of BridgeHaven Truck Sales in Milford, Conn., spoke at ATD’s annual convention here April 17.
