DTNA Adds Features to Repair-Focused Mobile App

Daimler Trucks North America announced enhancements to its Express WriteUp app, which allows service advisers at Freightliner and Western Star dealerships to create repair orders with a mobile device.

The new features include digital interview forms that allow for the collection of typical service issues such as air conditioning and overheating. Also included is the ability to upload photographs to the repair order and capture signatures digitally, according to the Portland, Ore.-based company.

When a vehicle arrives at a repair facility, the service adviser can access warranty repair coverage, repair history and fault code information via Bluetooth adapter or by scanning the vehicle identification number or Quick Response matrix barcode on the door pillar.
