Dupre Logistics Purchases Logistics Plus

Dupre Logistics said it has purchased Logistics Plus to offer more services to the beverage industry.

Dupre, Lafayette, La., said in a statement that Logistics Plus would increase its freight density in Texas and Oklahoma. Logistics Plus operates in the Dallas area; Longview, Texas; and Oklahoma City. The purchase price was not announced.

Dupre was founded in 1980 to deliver gasoline to rural fueling stations. It now generates more than $130 million in annual revenue and has more than 1,000 workers. The company provides general trucking, as well as chemical-shipping services.

“This is a strategic acquisition that will help us build density in our Dallas hub and give us the opportunity to reproduce this business in our other regional hubs,” said Tom Voelkel, Dupre’s president.
