Intangles launched a new product designed to help truck drivers find a mechanic while on the road before vehicle issues occur, the predictive maintenance company announced April 11.

InRoute Connect sends users predictive alert warnings about their trucks so that they can head for a maintenance shop along their route. Intangles noted that the system uses data from its existing predictive maintenance platform that leverages artificial intelligence.

“InRoute Connect leverages our AI-powered insights and marries them to a network of maintenance shops across North America,” said Alan McMillan, president of Intangles Americas. “Intangles’ predictive alerts coupled with InRoute Connect allow fleet managers to turn predictive insights into action and avoid having an impact on the truck’s delivery schedule.”

InRoute Connect also provides users a list of offerings at each service center location and the ability to choose preferred shops listed on the platform. Truck drivers also will get routing instructions and service center contact information to help them find the right shop. They also can rate and comment on preferred service stations.

“We designed InRoute Connect as a foundation to give fleets complete visibility and control over the repair and maintenance process from beginning to end,” McMillan said. “Managing a fleet can be stressful. InRoute Connect puts the power and control over the entire process in their hands. Like all of our products, InRoute Connect is structured to make truck maintenance and repair as easy as possible.”

Intangles noted that its predictive maintenance platform detects truck issues before its diagnostic trouble code is triggered. Its technology has been installed in more than 175,000 vehicles worldwide.
