Pac-Van leases and sells modular buildings, mobile offices and portable liquid storage tank containers, commonly known as frac tanks, used in petroleum refining, environmental remediation, marine services, construction and wastewater treatment.

A related company, Lone Star Tank Rental, leases portable storage containers, oil test tanks, acid tanks and related fluid management services in the Permian and Eagle Ford basins in Texas.

Both companies are owned by General Finance Corp., a publicly traded corporation based in Pasadena, Calif., that also has similar operations in Australia and New Zealand. The company also owns Southern Frac Tank Manufacturing in Waxahachie, Texas.

Pac-Van and Lone Star Tank Rental operate a combined fleet of 166 tractors, 15 straight trucks and 152 trailers, according to registration data on file with the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Delmarva Trailer Sales and Rentals operates a single tractor and one trailer.

Jody Miller, CEO of General Finance, commented on the acquisition of Delmarva in a statement issued Aug. 10.

“With this acquisition,” he said, “we now have a location in Maryland, over 500 additional rental units and three new professionals on our team.”

Pac-Van, based in Indianapolis, has more than 50 offices in the United States and Canada.
