Logistics firm Pacer International has appointed Val Noel to oversee its intermodal operations temporarily after one of the company’s executives leaves in July.
Peter Baumhefner, executive vice president of operations for Pacer Stacktrain, will leave in July, the company said in a statement Thursday.
Noel, currently Pacer’s executive vice president of street operations, will assume Baumhefner’s responsibilities on a temporary basis, effective July 2.
“We thank Peter for his leadership, and the spirit of innovation he brought to Pacer and the intermodal industry,” Pacer said.
Pacer announced other executive changes Thursday in the fields of capacity planning, network management and investor relations.
Pacer, Concord, Calif., is ranked No. 28 on the Transport Topics 50 listing of U.S. and Canadian logistics companies.
