Pacer Sets Expanded Mexico Intermodal Service

Pacer International said Monday it is expanding its Mexico Direct double-stack intermodal service between Chihuahua, Mexico and key markets in the U.S. and Canada.

The service, which began operations late last month, will operate five days per week to and from Chihuahua, and utilize the Ferromex and Union Pacific rail networks, Pacer said in a statement.

Pacer will support the new service by providing equipment from a fleet of more than 18,500 intermodal containers and a newly established chassis pool located at the Ferromex rail ramp in Chihuahua.
