PeopleNet Signs Distribution Deal With Pana-Pacific
PeopleNet announced a distribution agreement with supplier Pana-Pacific aimed at bringing its mobile fleet-management technology to small fleets.
Under the agreement, Pana-Pacific will market and resell PeopleNet’s technology to fleets with 25 or fewer tractors through original equipment manufacturers’ heavy-duty truck dealerships.
“With the pending electronic driver logs mandate, now more than ever before, companies that manage smaller-sized fleets are relying on telematics products to provide safety, efficiency and performance-improvement tools,” PeopleNet Senior Vice President Garland Jackson said in the Aug. 18 announcement, which coincided with the company’s 2014 user conference in Hollywood, Florida.
“Engaging the OEM dealerships in the sales of PeopleNet will allow small fleets better access to a premium telematics solution,” Pana-Pacific President John Trenberth said.
