Third-party logistics provider Radiant Logistics, Bellevue, Wash., said it agreed to acquire DBA Distribution Services, a Somerset, N.J. air-freight forwarder, for $12 million in cash and debt.
The sale is scheduled to close on June 30 at the conclusion of Radiant’s fourth fiscal quarter, the company said in a statement. After the sale, DBA will operate as a Radiant Logistics subsidiary.
DBA founders Jim Eagen and Paul Pollara will stay on after the acquisition, Radiant said. Eagen will be vice president of operations for the DBA’s eastern region, Pollara will be vice president of operations for the western region.
DBA Distribution, which operates under the name Distribution By Air, had about $91.6 million in revenue in its 2010 fiscal year, which ended Aug. 31. The combined company will have about $285 million in annual revenue, Radiant estimated.
Including DBA’s two company offices and 24 agent offices, Radiant logistics will have about 100 North American offices after the DBA acquisition is complete, the company said.
