he Technology & Maintenance Council has coined a new title for the first national skills competition for commercial vehicle technologies: TMCSuperTech2005.
Truck technicians from around the country — some selected by state competition, some by their fleets — will compete in SuperTech for national bragging rights and prizes Sept. 18-20, coinciding with TMC’s fall meeting in Valley Forge, Pa.
Organizers hope to attract 100 contestants to the competition, which was inspired by American Trucking Associations’ National Truck Driving Championships, in which drivers win individual state contests in different classes of vehicles to advance to the nationals.
TMC is part of ATA.
