Transervice Logistics Taps Gregg Nierenberg to Lead Company

Transervice Logistics Inc. appointed Gregg Nierenberg CEO and president after the retirement of company President Dennis Schneider and Executive Vice President Joseph Evangelist.
Most recently, Nierenberg was senior vice president of fleet services with Avis Budget Group, where he oversaw 400,000 cars and commercial trucks across 100 maintenance facilities.
At the same time, the company promoted Gino Fontana, to chief operations officer from vice president of operations at its Berkeley Division and Puerto Rico operations.

Schneider was president of Transervice since 2011. He joined Transervice Lease Corp. as an entry-level employee and acquired the company in 1985 with a partner.
Evangelist joined the company in 2007 as executive vice president with responsibility for sales, operations, staff and account management.
Transervice Logistics, based in Lake Success, N.Y., provides customized fleet maintenance and transportation solutions including logistics, dedicated contract carriage, fleet leasing, contract maintenance, and material handling equipment leasing and maintenance.
