Treadway Named ATD’s Truck Dealer of the Year
NEW ORLEANS — Kyle Treadway was named 2014 Truck Dealer of the Year by the American Truck Dealers association.
Treadway is president, dealer principal and legal counsel of Kenworth Sales Co., based in West Valley, Utah, just outside Salt Lake City.
The dealership sells Kenworth and Mitsubishi Fuso trucks at locations in Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Nevada and Wyoming.
Treadway, who was honored here Jan. 25 at the ATD annual convention, said in brief comments that he was “humbled to be included in an impressive group of finalists” as well as joining an elite list of 19 previous winners of Dealer of the Year.
“This award provides a metric of excellence for all within our industry to take lessons from,” Treadway said in an interview with Transport Topics.
ATD said finalists for Dealer of the Year are nominated by their peers and are evaluated on dealership performance, civic contributions and industry leadership. A panel of professors from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business selects the winners.
Treadway, also a past ATD chairman, said he was looking forward to having additional opportunities to speak on behalf of truck dealers with elected officials and the public. He also intends to pass along industry knowledge, learned as a third-generation businessman, to students at the Kelley School.
