Officials with Trillium CNG and its partner AmpCNG gathered with state and local government leaders Feb. 27 to open a new fast-fill compress natural gas fueling station in Orlando, Fla., that is open to the public.
The station is at Lewis Petroleum’s Silver Star Fuelman near a Frito-Lay North America plant, the companies said in a statement. Frito-Lay had asked Trillium and Amp to build the station.
The CNG station has two dispensers that can pump 10 gasoline-gallons equivalent per minute.
“We’re committed to supporting Frito-Lay North America’s CNG fueling infrastructure build-out plan,” Trillium President Mary Boettcher said in a statement. “This station has the added benefit of providing 24/7 CNG fueling for heavy-duty trucking in the area due to the station's proximity to Interstate 4 and the East-West Expressway.”
"This CNG station in Orlando is an important addition to our CNG network across the U.S.," said Nate Laurell, CEO of Amp.
Trillium expects to have 77 CNG stations open by June.
