rucking officials said a recent study that found an increase in accidents involving commercial trucks on the Ohio Turnpike since the speed limit was raised was inconclusive because it did not provide enough information as to whom was at fault.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a July 18 report the number of accidents involving commercial truck traffic along the 241-mile toll road increased 36% to 581 from 427 between Sept. 8 — when the speed limit for trucks rose to 65 mph from 55 mph — and May 31.

The report also said the number of accidents involving all vehicles increased 27% to 2,008 from 1,579 during the same period.
