Robert A. Hirsch, 54, will take the helm of the Alexandria, Va.-based organization on Sept. 1.
The announcement was made Aug. 16 by TCA Chairman Robert Hansen: “He brings to the table a vast knowledge about the trucking industry and its issues, familiarity with the other trucking conferences and organizations, and many years ‘in the trenches’ fighting truckers’ battles through his involvement in litigation.”
“I think he’s a natural choice,” added Roger Roberson, chief executive officer of Roberson Transportation Services, Champaign, Ill. “He’s very level-headed, he’s smart, he knows his way around.”
