TT Archives: Truck Driving Champions

Seven drivers earned trophies at the first National Truck Driving Championships in St. Louis and were recognized the best in a field of 266 drivers from 41 states in this Sept. 2, 1985, issue of Transport Topics.

Thirty years later, a total of 431 drivers competed once again in St. Louis for top honors in eight truck classes and one step van category, along with 51 truck and bus inspectors who competed in the North American Inspectors Championship.
