The Georgia Ports Authority is on track to set yet another record with more than 4.6 million 20-foot equivalent container units.

The Georgia Ports Authority introduced dual rail service from the Port of Savannah to Chicago, with cargo reaching the Midwestern city in less than three days.

July was a record month for intermodal cargo at the Port of Savannah, achieving 10.5% growth during the month, the Georgia Ports Authority announced.
