NEW YORK — Amazon has become the second publicly traded company to be worth $1 trillion, hot on the heels of Apple.

Amazon's announcement last month was a stay of execution, not a reprieve, and it’s only a matter of time before the company reveals plans for a comprehensive logistics network.

Dynamo, a transportation and logistics-oriented venture capital fund based in Chattanooga, Tenn., is launching a Founders Camp for entrepreneurs with ideas for transforming global trade and commerce.

Amazon plans to open an 800,000-square-foot fulfillment center in North Las Vegas, Nev., that will employ more than 1,000 full-time staff. The center will join three Amazon fulfillment facilities in North Las Vegas and Reno that employ more than 3,000 full-time workers.
