While most developers of Level 4 autonomous truck technology are targeting driverless operation, some see near-term business cases for highly automated, self-driving trucks with a driver still in the vehicle.

SAN ANTONIO — Autonomous truck developer Kodiak Robotics this summer is expanding its routes, adding a Dallas-to-San Antonio run.

Last month, Locomation announced that it had formed a partnership with Rush Enterprises making them the primary installation and maintenance provider of Locomation's autonomous technology.
