Honda Motor Co. will hike the pay of some U.S. employees by 11% following the United Auto Workers’ contract victories at its unionized Detroit competitors, according to a company memo.

Honda Motor Co. is shelving plans to jointly develop affordable electric vehicles with General Motors Co. due to a changing business environment, CEO Toshihiro Mibe said.
