Truckers have long been the eyes and ears of the road, and the industry and Colorado lawmakers want to officially put that perspective to use as the state continues its growing battle against human trafficking.

Semitrailer drivers are being asked to keep their eyes on more than the road as state and local officials continue their fight to end human trafficking.

In an effort to further educate and fund efforts against human trafficking, Inland Kenworth, Tolleson, Arizona, has put together a distinctively designed  “Everyday Heroes” Kenworth T680 truck in conjunction with Truckers Against Trafficking; platinum sponsors Kenworth Truck Co. and Ritchie Bros.; along with other leading industry suppliers

Truckers Against Trafficking announced a partnership with UPS Freight that will train the carrier’s more than 8,000 drivers on how to recognize and respond to signs of human trafficking activity.

Truckers Against Trafficking has been honored by a group of federal lawmakers for its work in rescuing young women from human trafficking networks in which they are sexually exploited.
