Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. is providing roll-stability protection as a standard feature on its 3000R base model refrigerated trailer, using Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems technology.

Direct Trailer has acquired Antares Trailers in a deal that combines the capabilities of the two flatbed manufacturers. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Greenbrier Cos., which makes intermodal railcars and other freight equipment, said it received $1.24 billion in new railcar orders during its first quarter.
