ASBPE Recognizes Transport Topics With Seven Regional Awards

Transport Topics captured seven 2022 Mid-Atlantic Region Azbee Awards of Excellence from the American Society of Business Publication Editors.
TT won six silver awards and one bronze award, with three of the entries advancing as national finalists.
TT’s work for calendar year 2021 was recognized across multiple platforms and products.
The three national finalists include a silver regional winner in the Print Feature Series category, our “Wheels of Justice” series by Senior Reporter Eric Miller, who last year won a national gold award in this category for the same series that spotlights excessive multimillion-dollar “nuclear” jury verdicts against trucking companies and efforts to protect carriers against them.
Also winning silver regional awards and advancing as national finalists:
- In the All Content/Technical Article category, Managing Editor of Features Seth Clevenger’s iTECH cover story, “When Will Trucks Drive Themselves?”
- In the Online Webinar category, “Retool,” a two-day program last August that featured interviews with industry experts to mark the launch of quarterly publication Calibrate and relaunch of iTECH. Team members included Tara McClelland, Erin Rodgers, Kelley Zimmerman, Brian Kelly, Joe Terry, Dan Ronan, Shehab Moustafa, Joe Howard, Clevenger and Michael Freeze.
The keynote guest for Day One of Retool was Robert Braswell, executive director at American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council. (Transport Topics)
Calibrate, the redesigned version of Equipment & Maintenance Update, won silver regional honors in the Magazine/Newspaper Redesign category. Silver regional awards were also bestowed upon TT for its Management Conference & Exhibition coverage in the Trade Show/Conference Coverage category, and for its “From Pandemic to Prosperity” article by Clevenger in the “State of the Industry” print category, which appeared as the cover story in our Top 100 For-Hire Carriers supplement.
The bronze regional award was earned in the Online Podcast category for Episode 54 of RoadSigns, “How Has the Industry’s Execution of Vaccine Distribution Fared Thus Far?”
National awards will be announced May 12.
