In-cab technology supplier Isaac Instruments has become the first external trucking telematics provider to complete an integration through the Trimble Transportation Cloud with Trimble’s Innovative Access Plus transportation management system.

The company announced the new integration Sept. 15 in conjunction with Trimble’s Insight 2024 conference in Las Vegas.

Isaac has long integrated its technology with Trimble’s on-premise Innovative IES TMS through the Isaac Open Platform. This additional cloud-based integration provides fleets more options for integrating current and legacy versions of the Innovative TMS.

“Isaac continues to invest in our integration team and strengthen relationships with technology partners like Trimble to deliver greater value to fleets,” said Jacques DeLarochelliere, Isaac’s CEO and co-founder.

The Grant Group of Cos., a diversified tank and flatbed carrier based in Ontario, is the first fleet to utilize the cloud-based Innovative Access Plus integration with Isaac. The company operates more than 350 trucks across several business units, including John Grant Haulage.

“Platform changes can be challenging, especially across the uniqueness of our different business units, but commissioning the fleets went smoothly with minimal disruption,” said Heather LeBlanc, manager of IT solutions at GGC.

The new integration is available to Trimble customers currently implementing the cloud-based Innovative Access Plus TMS.
