NTDC Grand Champion Roland Bolduc to Be Honored at MCE
The top driver at this year’s National Truck Driving Championships will be honored at the Management Conference & Exhibition hosted by American Trucking Associations in October.
NTDC grand champion Roland Bolduc will be among the half-dozen honorees up for recognition during the conference’s awards luncheon Oct. 22. For Bolduc, the event will mark a return to the venue in Orlando, Fla., where conquered the sleeper berth class.
The championships were held in Orlando in August.
Bolduc, a FedEx Express driver for 23 years, has accrued nearly 2 million safe-driving miles. He was an America’s Road Team Captain in 2000. When he was asked to share his strategy for winning the grand champion title, Bolduc told Transport Topics: “Practice. Practice. Practice. And always, just safety; that’s No. 1.”
MCE is scheduled for Oct. 21-25 at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center. The theme will be “Building Trucking’s Future.”

“Each year, MCE gives ATA the chance to gather together, celebrate our industry, focus on the future and set a path forward for trucking, and this year will be no exception,” ATA's Chris Spear said. “MCE has been, and will remain, the premier gathering for trucking industry leaders and executives.”
