Products to Cut Drag Show Fuel Savings in Tests

The National Research Council of Canada said recent wind-tunnel tests showed that some aerodynamic products can help heavy-duty trucks save between two and three gallons of fuel per 100 miles by reducing drag.

Trucking Launches Campaign To Fight Tolls on I-81 in Virginia

American Trucking Associations and the Virginia Trucking Association have launched a campaign opposing proposed tolls on Interstate 81 in Virginia. Darrin Roth, director of highway operations for ATA, said the two organizations decided to launch the campaign because there is a real chance Virginia may toll I-81.

Carriers Expect Severe Delays As Chicago Fixes Expressway

Chicago’s Dan Ryan Expressway, which carries 300,000 vehicles a day through Chicago’s South Side, is scheduled to be narrowed to six lanes from 14, beginning April 1, for a two-year construction project truckers said would create significant delays.
