Oil traded near the lowest in two days as China signaled it may step up efforts to cool its economy, tempering fuel demand in that country, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

Oil rose 65 cents Thursday, rebounding from earlier declines to finish the trading day at $95.42 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, Bloomberg reported.

Oil fell more than $4 to a four-month low near $91 a barrel Thursday after the U.S. government said it would tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve as part of an international effort to boost supplies, Bloomberg reported.

Oil fell to near $91 a barrel in early trading Monday, the lowest intraday price since February and below the closing price at the end of last year, Bloomberg reported.

Oil rose 14 cents Thursday, holding under $95 a barrel a day after falling to the lowest closing price in almost four months, Bloomberg reported.

Oil fell to finish trading below $100 a barrel Friday, taking its biggest drop in four weeks on indications that Saudi Arabia will boost output next month, Bloomberg reported.

Oil fell below $99 a barrel in early trading Monday on signs of lower demand and a possible supply boost by OPEC, Bloomberg reported.

Oil fell more than $1 Thursday but remained over $100 a barrel for a second day, Bloomberg reported.
