Tank truck carrier Quality Distribution said its third-quarter profit rose from a year ago on higher revenue.

Logistics firm Expeditors International of Washington said Tuesday its third-quarter profit declined from a year ago on a “convergence of industry challenges.”

XPO Logistics reported a third-quarter loss of $3.1 million or 22 cents per share, compared with net income of $190,000 and a loss of $5.38, a year ago.
