Logistics firm US 1 Industries said late Tuesday its second-quarter net jumped to $1.1 million or 9 cents a share, from $317,000 or 3 cents a year ago.

Diesel fuel’s national average pump price dropped 5.1 cents off an 11-month high to $2.847 a gallon, the Energy Department reported Monday.
