Americold Posts 3Q Profit

Global warehouse operator Americold reported net income of $24.5 million, or 17 cents a share, in the third quarter, compared with a net loss of $11.9 million, or 17 cents a share, in the same period a year ago. Revenue increased 3.2% to $402 million in 2018 from $389.5 million in 2017.

Wholesale Prices Jump 0.6%, Most in Six Years

WASHINGTON — U.S. wholesale prices rose by the most in six years last month, led higher by more expensive gas, food and chemicals. The Labor Department said Nov. 9 that the producer price index — which measures price increases before they reach the consumer — leapt 0.6% in October, after a smaller 0.2% rise in September.
